Thom Van Camp is a PhD Candidate in Literary Studies at UW-Madison. His research takes a presentist approach to 19th century British romanticism and its entanglements with abolition, reading romantic poetry alongside current work in Black Studies. He has also published writing on 20th century American poetry. At UW Thom coordinates the Health Humanities Certificate and produces content for Holding History, a public facing program focused on book and media history.
