Das Ornament ist eine Vorlage für das mimetische Vermögen. Diese Abstraktion ist die hohe Schule der Einfühlung
Bestehen Zusammenhänge zwischen den Erfahrungen der Aura und denen der Astrologie. Gibt es irdische Lebewesen sowohl wie Sachen, die aus den Sternen zurückblicken? die eigentlich erst am Himmel ihren Blick aufschlagen? Sind die Gestirne mit ihrem Blick aus der Ferne das Urphänomen der Aura?
Darf man annehmen, daß der Blick der erste Mentor des mimetischen Vermögens war? daß die erste Anähnlichung sich im Blick vollzieht?
Darf man endlich den Kreis mit der Annahme schließen, dass Sternkonstellationen an der Entstehung des Ornaments Anteil hatten? daß das Ornament Sternenblicke festhält?
Es ergäbe sich in diesen Zusammenhängen eine Polarität der Zentren mime tischen Vermögens im Menschen. Es verlagert sich vom Auge auf die Lippen, dabei den Umweg über den gesamten Leib nehmend. Dieser Prozess würde die Überwindung des Mythos einschließen.

Ornament is a model of the mimetic faculty. This abstraction is the perfected art of empathy.
Do connections exist between the experiences of aura and those of astrology [?] Are there earthly creatures as well as things that gaze back from the stars? That actually only open up their gaze in the heavens? Are the stars with their glimpse from out of the distance the original phenomenon of aura?
May one assume that the glimpse was the first mentor of the mimetic faculty? That the first coming into resemblance was completed by the glimpse? May one finally close the circle with the assumption that constellations of stars participated in the emergence of the ornament? That the ornament retains glimpses from the stars?
Were such contexts to exist, there would be a polarity in the central points of mimetic faculty in human beings. It relocates itself from the eye to the lips, in the course of which it takes a detour around the whole body. This process would include the overcoming of myth.

Existe-t-il des connexions entre les expériences de l’aura et celles de l’astrologie [ ?] Y a-t-il des vivants terrestres, aussi bien que des choses, qui depuis les étoiles retournent des regards ? qui ont proprement ouvert leur regard d’abord au ciel ? Les astres avec le regard qu’ils jettent du lointain sont-ils le phénomène originaire de l’aura ?
Peut-on admettre que le regard fut le premier mentor de la faculté mimétique ? que la première mise en ressemblance [Anähnlichung] a lieu dans le regard ?
Peut-on enfin boucler le cercle en admettant que les constellations d’étoiles prirent part à la formation de l’ornement ? que l’ornement retient des regards d’étoiles ?
Dans ces connexions il y aurait une polarité des centres de la faculté mimétique dans l’homme. Elle se déplacerait des yeux sur les lèvres, par un détour à travers le corps tout entier. Ce processus comprendrait le dépassement du mythe.
