David Wills is professor of French and Francophone Studies at Brown University. His work centers on the originary technicity of the human, developed mainly in three books: Prosthesis, Dorsality, and Inanimation (all published with University of Minnesota Press), as well as in his recent Killing Times: The Temporal Technology of the Death Penalty (Fordham University Press, 2019). He is also translator of a series of works by Jacques Derrida, including Clang (with Geoffrey Bennington), and two volumes of the 1997-1999 Perjury and Pardon Seminar, forthcoming from University of Chicago Press.
