Bouazza Benachir is an academic researcher, former professor of Philosophy and African Studies at Mohammed-V University in Rabat, and Doctor of State in Literature at Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Author of several essays (on African-Maghrebi cultures, African decolonial thought and the critique of planetary reason), his research deals with the coming globality (mondialité) and a critique of the contraction of the universal. He is an associate member of the Literature, Arts and Pedagogical Engineering Laboratory, Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Morocco. He is the author of Esclavage, diaspora africaine et communautés noires du Maroc (Paris, L’Harmattan, 2005).
